What is 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or 2-Step Verification) is a technology that provides identification of users through the combination of two different components. We are using 2FA for all login and withdrawal requests.
In simple words, Google 2FA is an OTP service for enhanced security and quick access. 2FA generates a unique six-digit code every 30 seconds.
Why 2FA? Passwords are easy to steal. Two-Factor Authentication can help reduce your risk of exposure even if your password is stolen or your email account is compromised.
Also, a user has a privilege to carry the OTP service on his/her phone all the time.
By Default Two-factor authentication is active based on your email OTP (One Time Password). All login and withdrawal requests will be processed by entering the OTP received in your emails.
Google Authenticator You can also activate the google authenticator on your account. It works using a private key and generates the code offline and instantly. This will save you the trouble of accessing emails on every request. You can download the app and start using it.
Activating Google Authenticator:
- Go to your profile and choose the Google Authenticator tab, you will see a QR code with a six-digit key.
- Scan this into Google Authenticator app.
- Now back up the 16-digit key to prevent the future trouble for a case like loss of mobile or accidental uninstallation of the app.
- Enter your password into the password field and the number/OTP shown by google authenticator into OTP field and click on activate.
